Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno has been appointed as the Head Coach of KCB
Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno has been unveiled as the Head Coach of KCB. Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno had earlier been appointed as the Harambee Stars assistant coach.
Speaking at the KCB’s training ground in Ruaraka, Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno said that he is capable of delivering for both the national team and KCB. He also stated that doubling the two roles will be a major challenge.
Zedekiah Zico’s assistant at KCB will be Godfrey Solo Oduor and goalkeeper trainer Omondi Korea. KCB have set a target of finishing in the top three positions when the Kenya Premier League season 2019/2020 comes to an end.
Zedekiah Zico Otieno will be the assistant to Francis Kimanzi in his role with the Kenya National Team.
Zedekiah Zico Otieno vowed to do his best to ensure that Harambee Stars qualifies for the 2021 African Cup of Nations. He has revealed plans for the national team to play a number of friendly matches in preparation. In the Afcon qualifiers, The Kenya National team has been grouped alongside Togo, Comoros and Egypt.
Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno has previously coached the Kenya National Football team, Gor Mahia, Sony Sugar and Posta Rangers. At Gor Mahia, Zico has worked as both the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach
