Wolves defender Jonny Castro Otto has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The Spanish full-back was forced off in Wolves 1-0 win over Olympiacos on Thursday.
The 26-year-old Jonny Castro Otto will miss the rest of Wolves’ Europa League campaign.
‘’In the first-half of the match with Olympiacos Jonny suffered an injury to his right knee,’’ said Matt Perry, the club’s doctor.
‘’Yesterday [Friday] a scan confirmed the first clinical impression of an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament which will require surgical repair.
‘’This has been arranged and the whole team wish Jonny well on his path to recovery.’’
Young defender Lewis Richards will join the first-team squad as they travel to Germany on Sunday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will face Sevilla in the quarter final of the UEFA Europa League on Tuesday.
