A total of Ksh. 326.5 billion was allocated as Kenya National Security budget for security agencies out of which Ksh. 121.6 billion was for Defense; Ksh. 37.7 billion for National Intelligence Services (NIS) and Ksh. 26.9 billion for Prisons Department).
The State Department for Interior headed by CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i was allocated Ksh. 140.5 billion out of which Ksh. 22.8 billion will be spent on House Allowance for Police and Prisons and Ksh. 6.9 billion for medical scheme for Prison and Police Officers);
