West Bromwich Albion clinched the second automatic promotion place in the Championship on final day of the season as Wigan Athletic survival bid failed.
West Brom drew 2-2 at home with QPR as Brentford lost 2-1 to Barnsley on Wednesday.
The result saw Barnsley survive but Wigan got relegated as they drew 1-1 with Fulham, who could have been promoted with a win.
Charlton Athletic and Hull were also relegated.
Leeds United won the Championship title and will play in the Premier League next season after a 16-year absence.
