At a Pennsylvania restaurant named Alfredo’s Cafe, a customer left a $3,000 tip on a $13 bill. Eric Smith enjoyed a homemade stromboli at the restaurant on July 16 and left the tip because he was impressed with the meal. Mariana Lambert, the waitress who served Eric, did not believe the amount the customer left.
“When the time came to pay his check, Lambert came into my office with tears in her eyes and shaking, stating a customer was leaving her a $3,000 tip on his $13.25 bill,” said Matt Martini, who is the manager at the restaurant.
When the customer was asked why he gave such a huge tip, he said that he had been involved in a cryptocurrency and he was giving back to the community. Eric is originally from the area where the restaurant is sited.
It is good to give back to the society and especially during this covid period most of the restaurants are struggling and depend on tips left by customers.
