Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin who led mutiny against the Russian army has been reported dead following a crash of his private jet. 

 

The private jet was traveling from Moscow to St Petersburg on August 23 when it dropped from the sky.

A footage was shared showing the plane spiraling towards the ground and smoke was observed coming from the fuselage. 

 

At the time of the crash, the plane was transporting three pilots and 7 passengers. The crash happened in Tver region 96 kilometers north of Moscow.

 

In June, Wagner Boss, led a short-lived coup against the Russian military. A settlement was negotiated which allowed the Wagner boss to live in exile in Belarus. 

 

It is alleged that Wagner Group is involved in plundering oil, gas, diamonds and gold from countries where they operate. The group is also paid directly by regimes where they are based. The late Wagner Group boss was a wealthy man. His personal fortune is estimated to be £2 billion.
