Sharing is Caring

Read Madrid soccer player, Vinicius Junior, has been declared the world’s most valuable player by a leading research. CIES Football Observatory used a method to calculate the worth of each player by looking at their on-pitch performance with parameters such as remaining contract length, club and age.

The research report was released at the start of 2022 and Vinicius, a Brazilian winger, has emerged at the top. The player’s value has been estimated to be £138.5 million according to a formular used by CIES.

That means that he is more valuable than Phil Foden (£127 m) of Manchester City and Erling Haaland (£119 m). On the forth place is Mason Greenwood (£111.75 m) followed by Florian Wirtz (111m) and Jude Bellingham (108.5) who play soccer for Bundesliga.

The oldest players who managed to be on the top 10 list are Frenkie de Jong (£96 m) of Barcelona and Ruben Dias (£100.5 m). The list also featured Golden Boy (the 2021 winner of Pedri) and Alphonso Davies.

Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) is valued at just £60 m which is far below Gabriel Jesus, Timo Werner and Diogo Jota. Mohamed Salah is even ranked lower with £55 million.
