Valencia have sacked head coach Albert Celades after a woeful run of results.
Assistant coach Voro will be in charge of the team on interim basis until the end of the season.
Valencia sit eighth in the La Liga table with 46 points after 32 games. They’ve won just one of their five games since the La Liga resumed following the coronavirus pandemic.
The club’s statement read: ‘’Valencia have communicated to Albert Celades his removal from his position as first-team coach, with immediate effect.
‘’The club wish to thank him publicly for his work and dedication during his time at the club – a period in which we have achieved qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League and important victories at grounds where we had previously not won.
‘’The club also value his help and contribution since he took over as coach of the first team in a moment of difficulty, and wish him every success in his future endeavors.’’
Sporting director Cesar Sanchez has also resigned.
Valencia will host Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday as they look to improve on their league performances.

Peter Lim should just rest
Football applies the rule of the jungle.
Coaches are victims of circumstances. What is players decide to frustrate coaches? There should be some kind of checks and balances.
If I were a coach, I will start my own club so that no one will have to sack me! 🙂
where do coaches go when they sacked suddenly especially during the coronavirus period?
