Londre Sylvester, a rapper from Chicago alias “KTS Dre,” was murdered by a several bullets moments after being released from prison. 


According to police reports, Sylvester was shot at least 64 times outside the Cook County Jail in Chicago. Sylvester had been fitted with an ankle monitor and was released.

Londre Sylvester posted $5,000 bail Friday, according to media reports.


Londre Sylvester was walking out of jail with a 60-year-old woman to a waiting vehicle, when several suspects suddenly emerged from 2 other vehicles and sprayed bullets on Londre Sylvester, WMAQ reported.

 

Despite the number of shots fired, Londre Sylvester was the only fatality in the ambush and the 60-year-old and another woman were also injured.


The second woman is an activist who assists people newly released from prison while the bail was posted by the 60-year-old according to the CWB Chicago.  


According to CWB, Londre Sylvester was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Hospital. 


CWB revealed that the letters “KTS” in Londre Sylvester’s stage name stand for “kill to survive,” this is the message he had tattooed on his neck along with a target design.


Suspects fled in their vehicles, and the murder is still under investigation by the police according to media reports from the area.
