A large crowd of unemployed youth from Kasserine province in Western Tunisia protested outside Tunisian parliament threatening to commit suicide in large numbers according to the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).
The protesting youth tried to get entry into the legislature while demanding for jobs.They also demanded to be given a written document indicating parliament’s commitment to provide jobs to the university graduates who were protesting.
The protesters were calling for the honoring of an agreement signed on 29 December, 2017 between the youth and Youssef Chahed which made a commitment for 183 youth from Kasserine to be hired.
