This is a reminder that the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues is coming soon.
The theme for this year will be: “Indigenous peoples, business, autonomy and the human rights principles of due diligence including free, prior and informed consent”.
The UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues will be held from 25 April to 6 May.
We encourage those interested to participate during the first week because that is the time for the free sessions.
1st April is the deadline for registration for those who will participate at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues for the first time.
Organizations with ECOSOC accreditation status have until 11 April to register.
You also need to remember that this time round there are two key things. First, both in-person and virtual attendance is allowed.
Second, the organizers of UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues are now limiting registration to a maximum of 3 people for each organization.
To follow the proceedings online, you do not need to register because it will be live-streamed.
Organizations are planning joint events, you too can plan for one.
