Uhuru Kenyatta promises to establish 10 chemotherapy centers across Kenya
Numerous leaders have called for establishment of chemotherapy centers to bring medical care closer to the people suffering from cancer.
In addition to those chemotherapy centers he further promised to provide three (3) radiology centers to serve Kenyans and reduce medical tourism to India, USA and United Kingdom.
The chemotherapy centers will be established in Garissa, Mombasa, Kakamega, Machakos, Nyeri and Nakuru counties.
In Bomet County, the chemotherapy centers will be at located Longisa Referral Hospital. This is set to be opened by September, 2019.
President Kenyatta also announced that Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital will be opened in September and it will too have chemotherapy centers.
