Uganda will ease restrictions as from Tuesday, with shops and restaurants reopening and private cars expected back on the roads.
Each and every one is expected to wear face masks in public.
Last week, President Yoweri Museveni delayed easing of coronavirus restrictions until 26th May so that Ugandans can acquire face masks.
The easing of restrictions will only be in 95 out of 135 districts in the country. Containment measures will still be enforced in 40 border districts.
The authorities are expected to give guidelines on reopening of schools and public transport on 4th June.
Night clubs and Gyms will remain closed.
President Museveni’s press secretary Don Wanyama has tweeted cautioning Ugandans even as the country reopens.
