Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs are in talks with Belgian side Club Brugge over the transfer of Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama.
It seems Victor Wanyama has been deemed surplus requirement at the London club after Tottenham Hotspurs signed Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis and Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyon.
Manager Mauricio Pochetinho favors Midfielders Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele, Eric Dier and Lo Celso ahead of Victor Wanyama. If at all Victor Wanyama wants more playing time, he’ll have to make a move.
Latest reports indicate that the Kenyan Captain is already in Belgium to undergo a medical before signing with the Belgian Club.
Victor Wanyama has previously played for Kenyan Clubs Nairobi City Stars and AFC Leopards before moving to Swedish side Helsingborgs IF in 2007. In 2008 Wanyama moved to dutch club Beerschot A.C where he made 51 appearances for the club.
In 2011, Victor Wanyama made a move to Scottish Club Celtic and became the first Kenyan to play in the Scottish Premier League. He went on to make 61 appearances for Celtic scoring 10 goals in the process before moving to Southampton in 2013. He made 85 appearances for the Saints scoring 4 goals.
