TPLF leaders Abay Woldu, Sebhat Negat and Abraham Tekeste appeared before the Arada Branch of Federal First Instance Court.
They were accused of treason. The court adjourned the case for 29 January 2021 upon request by the Federal Police to conduct further investigations.
Elsewhere, the national army announced it had killed Seyoum Mesfin, who was the longest serving Minister of Foreign Affairs for nearly 20 years and Abay Tsehaye, who served as the Chairperson of the Board of Ethiopian Sugar Corporation as well as Asmelash Woldeselassie, who served as government whip for nearly five years up to 2019.
