Dr David Nabarro, one of the top scientists working for the Imperial College in London and a special envoy to the World Health Organization has predicted that the restrictions we have in place may be the new normal.
A number of countries have predicted that they will produce a vaccine before the end of the year to stop the pandemic on its tracks.
Scientists are facing a big challenge because they are up against a biological system. Dr Nabarro was speaking to CNN on these matters.
The professor predicts that there is no guarantee that a vaccine will be found and if it is found will it pass all the tests of safety and efficacy?
Dr David Nabarro indicated that there will be outbreaks from time to time.
‘Movement will be restricted and that may apply to parts of a country, or it may even apply to a whole country’ said David Nabarro.
