This is the back to school season. Prices of school shoes, uniforms and books have escalated to the sky.
Now they are embarking on the third and final term for the year. Pupils who are coming of age, are joining play group so that next year they start their PP1.
As I write this, farmers are facing uncertain times considering that it has not rained for the past one month. If it has rained, it is only a few places in Kenya. This add to the stress facing parents as they try to raise school fees for their kids.
Freshers, or first year students are also facing a challenge as government increases their fees. This makes us seem to have acquired education for free in the last 20 years.
