The undercover economist by Tim Harford is an interesting read for many people who have an interest in economics and finance.

 

Tim Harford who is known as the The Undercover Economist is a columnist for the Financial Times. He writes regularly for his column called “The Undercover Economist.” This is a platform where he discusses all economic ideas behind every day events.

 

He is a regular write of op-eds and write articles for Financial Times and accepts interviews. Tim is a leading advocate of the power of the field of economics. He has spoken at the Sydney Opera House, TED and PopTech.

 

The Undercover Economist was the first book ever written by Tim Harford. Approximately 1.5 million copies of this book has been sold in at least 30 languages. He has also written “Dear Undercover Economist”, “Messy”, “The Logic of Life”, “Adapt” and “The Undercover Economist Strikes Back”.

 

Tim Harford has worked as a broadcaster on radio and television for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Most recently he published a book titled: “50 Things That Made the Modern Economy.” This has been ranked as one of the best 10 podcasts in Britain.

 

In 2014, Tim was named the Economics Commentator of the Year. In the same year again, he won the Rybczynski Price. This prize is awarded for the best wring in business and economics. In both 2006 and 2016, Tim was the winner of Bastiat Prize for economic journalism.

 

Tim has a great record in the Royal Statistical Society’s award category: “excellence in journalism” This is an award for broadcasting. In 2011, 2012 and 2014 he was a runner up. He was the winner in 2010 as well as in 2013. He has also won awards from Healthwatch and Mensa.

In Twitter Tim Harford has been ranked among the top 20 tweeters by the Independent. In 2015, Tim was also a team member of the BBC World Service which was the winner of AIB Radio Journalism award.

 

Tim Harford has been a common feature on various popular TV and radio programs. His work has always been published on popular print media such as newspapers, magazines and blogs such as Forbes, the Guardian, Wired, Esquire, New York Magazine, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.

 

AT the Financial Times, Tim Harford became a pioneer of the Peter Martin Fellow. Previously, he worked for Shell as well as the World Bank Group.
