Over 125 endangered crocodiles have been killed in Thailand. Natthapak Khumkad, 37, owns a crocodile farm in Lamphun Northern Thailand.
Some of the endangered crocodiles are as large as 4 meters long. On September 22, he killed 125 crocodiles to prevent them from getting loose in the local community.
“I had to make the most difficult decision of my life to kill them all,” Natthapak Khumkad said.
“My family and I discussed if the wall collapsed the damage to people’s lives would be far bigger than we can control,” the farmer added.
The endangered crocodiles were electrocuted to kill them.
Crocodile farming is a lucrative business in Industry. At least 1,100 commercial farms are registered in Thailand which generates at least $215 million of revenue every year.
