Donald Trump has alleged that his passports were ‘stolen’ during the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
The former president of the US warned that terrible things will happen if the ‘temperature doesn’t come down.’
He termed it as an ‘assault in a political opponent.’
‘Wow. In the raid by the FBI or Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else. This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never before seen in our country. Third World,’ he wrote on his Truth Social account.
Donald Trump has a red ‘diplomatic’ passport issued for official government travel and a blue one issued to U.S. citizens.
If his passports were seized for real during the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago estate, it means that Donald Trump will not be allowed to travel outside the country.
U.S Attorney General, Merrick Garland, revealed that he is the one who approved the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago estate in search for documents which Trump allegedly took with him after he left White House. Federal laws dictate that all presidential records are a property of the state.
According to the White House, the president discovered the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago estate from public reports with the White House press secretary saying that President Biden was not briefed about the raid.
‘Not been briefed. We have not interfered,’ White House Press Secretary said on ABC. During the raid, the FBI agents carted away 11 sets of classified documents, files and photographs, most of them marked “top secret”.
Following the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago estate, a total FBI agents took away 27 boxes containing various documents as listed on a federal warrant. The FBI has reportedly been receiving many threats of violence in recent months.
‘Whatever we can do to help—because the temperature has to be brought down in the country. If it isn’t, terrible things are going to happen,’ Trump said when asked if he has reached out to the Department of Justice.
He added: ‘The people of this country are not going to stand for another scam.’
