Japanese billionaire Tadashi Yanai is the richest person in Japan with a net worth of $37.74 billion.
He is the founder and president of Fast Retailing which is the parent company of Uniqlo. He served as a board member of SoftBank for 18 years before he resigned to focus on his businesses.
Fast Retailing owns many brands including Theory, J Brand, Helmut Lang and Gu. In Aug 2023, the company generated $19 billion in revenues out of which $2 billion was net profits.
