Sunil Mittal is an Indian Telecom tycoon who owns stakes in Bharti Airtel. He is one of the operators of India’s largest mobile phone company.
The company has more than 500 million subscribers in Africa and South Asia. Airtel competes with Jio of Mukesh Ambani and Vodafone Idea of Kumar Birla.
Sunil Mittal is also the owner of Airtel Payments Bank which started its business as a joint venture with Kotak Mahindra Bank.
In 2022, Google invested $1 billion in Bharti Airtel. The billionaire’s son Shravin is in charge of managing Bharti Global.
