Plan International appointed Stephen Omollo as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Stephen Omollo has many years of experiences in the development and humanitarian sector.
Before this appointment, Omollo, was the Vice President and Regional Director of World Vision.
Previously, her was a permanent representative and Head of Africa Union Office in Addis Ababa.
“Stephen is a powerful advocate for children’s rights and equality for girls. We have been excited by his record of achievement, as well as his deep experience in advocacy, international development and humanitarian response,” said Gunvor Kronman, chair of International Board of Plan International.
Raj Nooyi will serve as Plan International’s Interim Chief Executive until Stephen Omollo takes over in early in 2022.
Plan International has approximately 10,000 personnel globally, the organization is a global child rights and humanitarian organisation. It has operations in over 75 countries and promotes the rights of the world’s most vulnerable children, especially girls.
In the Financial Year 2020, Plan International fund raised €910 million and supported over 26 million girls and more than 24 million boys globally.
