After a series of consultations with the Majilis Ulamaa (council of scholars) of Jamia Mosque and upon further consultations and advice from the Kenya Muslim Medical Professionals (KMMP), the Jamia Mosque Committee has with effect from today Wednesday 18th March 2020 TEMPORARILY and REGRETABLY suspended the conduct of all congregational prayers at Jamia Mosque until further notice.
We shall continue to monitor the situation with respect to COVID-19 and advice the Muslim ummah accordingly.
