South Africa has reopened schools since the start of coronavirus.
All pupils and staff are screened before entering the school compounds in South Africa. They also practiced social distancing.
Reopening of schools was delayed for 1 week after parents and teachers union complained of lack of Personal Protect Equipment (PPE).
In Western Cape, two schools were shut down after teachers tested positive for Covid-19.
The reopening of schools started gradually with the 7th and 12th graders going in first.
However, Basic Education Minister of South Africa, Angie Motshekga, categorically stated that no school will be allowed to open if it is not ready.
All South African schools had been shut since 19th March 2020. The challenge of access to clean water in schools is factor to consider as the country reopens the schools.

I think That can work in Kenya if Only Our leaders join hands and end corruption.
Water can be supplied in school on weekly basis together with soap and face masks.
We can have mobile classes on open field.
Lakini Hii kenya yetu, wacha tu.
Dear Mosota, I agree with you on this matter. a lot needs to be done in order to be ready for reopening of schools. Otherwise, we will trigger the second wave of infections which will be more deadly.
Mobile classes, will mean that the national government set aside resources for purchasing tents to protect the pupils or students from effects of weather such as direct sunshine or rainfall. That way classes will go on uninterrupted. This is a brilliant idea, however, the national government starting with the CS responsible for Primary and Secondary education aren’t adopting such great ideas.
