South Africa’s sports ministry has approved the resumption of the football league in the country after it analysed the proposals submitted about the safety measures to be implemented.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is to decide when players will resume training and give a date for the resumption of games.
Football activities were suspended after the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country.
Sports minister Nathi Mtethwa said measures proposed are in line with protocols required for safe return of football.
