Sony Sugar FC have been expelled from the Kenya Premier League after failing to turn up for three Kenya Premier League matches.
The Kenya Premier League Limited confirmed the expulsion on Friday afternoon. Sony Sugar failed to honour matches against AFC Leopards, Tusker and Zoo Kericho FC.
The decision means that the Nyanza-based club will not take part in the Kenya Premier League this season.
It is reported that Sony Sugar has been facing financial difficulties this season due to the withdrawal of their main sponsor Sony Sugar Company.
