The former Nairobi Governor has said that the Azimio coalition has bad intentions towards Kalonzo Musyoka.
He also added that Azimio lured him and now it’s time Kalonzo should join the party led by the Deputy President.
“Huyu ndugu yangu Stephen Kalonzo si mtu mbaya, lakini pale mahali ambapo ako ndio kule kuna ubaya,” Sonko said in a statement. “Endeleeni kuniombea na kuombea Kalonzo ili Mungu amguze amrudishe vile ameniguza mimi nikafunguka macho.” He added.
Sonko said that the Azimio led by Raila Odinga messed up with his chance to vie for Mombasa gubernatorial seat.
This was because the Orange Democratic Movement had a candidate, Abdulswamad Nassir, was on the same position, and so, Raila had to pull him down.
This was according to Mike Sonko who just Moved to Kenya Kwanza from Azimio coalition.
“Raila hana uzuri na sisi Wakamba. Alipotaja serikali pale KICC tuliskia akitaja Hassan Joho awe waziri wa ardhi…Do you know what position Kibwana or Ngilu will have in his government? Is there any Kamba mentioned in that list? None. I have also told Kalonzo there is no position called Chief Minister,” he said.
“Karua si wa kweli. Raila na Karua ndio walinifanyia maovu. I am a Kenyan who is supposed to be protected by the Constitution. I appealed against the government and soon after I was cleared by the IEBC, the next day Karua colluded with Martha Koome to punish me,” Sonko claimed.
On the other hand, the Kenya Kwanza party leader also took part in persuading Kalonzo to join their team. “Ata kama Kalonzo hanipendi, Raila si amemtesa? Mtu amekuunga mkono miaka kumi umemsahau jina mpaka unaenda kumuita interview; na baada ya interview unamwambia ameanguka interview. Si hiyo ni madharau? Sasa anamwambia atamuunga mkono 2037, wakati Kalonzo ako na miaka 100,” Ruto said.
