The Smart Initiative ICT Company recently launched a product called ‘Smart Parent.’ This is software for tracking and monitoring students. It sends text messages to the parents on the status of their children while at school.
The product was launched during the Trade Fair at Gikondo. The Smart Initiative executives made a moving presentation before the African Union Summit in Kigali. It received great recommendation from the attending African Union leaders.
Current the project is implemented at Lycee Notre Dame de Citeau. It will later be rolled out to the rest of the country. The company is working closely with the Rwandan government, Positivo and BGH to supply at least 600 laptops across the country.
