The President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, has sacked his chief of protocol (SCOP) one Fatmata Kargbo. This was caused by her appearance and testifying before the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) owned and presided over by TB Joshua, that God has favoured her.
Fatmata was covered/ featured by Emmanuel Television also owned by TB Joshua. She was testifying that God had honored her by having her appointed an aide to the Sierra Leone President. She further added that as a result of her new position she was able to complete the construction of her stalled house.
She displayed photos of a huge mansion that she had completed most recently.
“I want to thank God for blessing me with this job as SCOP to the president of Sierra Leone, ambassador at large and the blessings that come with it. If you look closely at this picture you will see the luxurious house God has blessed me with. I was living in a single room apartment. But my story is now different,” said Fatmata.
This testimony which was supposed to show how God has been good to her triggered a lot of reactions in Sierra Leone. This led President Julius Bio to terminate her appointment and consequently directed Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to conduct investigations on her new source of wealth. How did Fatmata manage to construct such huge and luxurious mansion within a short period of time?
“The Anti-Corruption Commission has opened an official investigation into the conduct of the official and her testimony. We will also look at her source of wealth in acquiring her house and other properties. If it contradicts the anti-corruption act or we find instances of unexplained wealth, she will be charged to court and will be asked to pay a fine.” Read her AAC letter.
