Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi was chief from earlier 1934 to 1964 and was awarded two British medals for ‘service to the crown.”He served the colonial masters for 30 years.

 

Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi was the first Kisii to afford motor cars (Chevrolet Sedan and a Fordson) in 1943. He also owned numerous flour mills operated by water. These were called ‘chitinga chia musa.

Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi was husband to 15 wives and sired over 100 children.  Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi is reported to have died of cancer in 1970 and his wife died in 2009 aged 94.

 

Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi’s son Simeon Nyachae went into business in 1954 by establishing Sansora Bakery at Nyanturago Market. This is what was transformed into Sansora Group which has interests in flour milling, real estate, banking, coffee and aviation.
