Morgan Schneiderlin has left Everton for Ligue 1 side Nice for an undisclosed fee.
Schneiderlin, 30, joined the Toffees in January 2017 from Manchester United in a deal worth £24M.
The former Southampton star initially impressed at Goodison Park under Ronald Koeman but has struggled under Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti.
He will now join Patrick Vieira’s side Nice, who finished fifth after the Ligue 1 season was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Schneiderlin made 88 appearances for Everton scoring 1 goal.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti wished him all the best.
“He had injuries but in the time he played, he played well. Everyone in the club is happy for what he did as a professional here and everyone wants to wish him the best,” said manager Carlo Ancelotti.
“He had the desire to go back to France and we let him, he had the possibility to go there, so we wish him all the best for the future.”
