Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho revealed a ‘’justice for George Floyd’’ t-shirt after scoring Dortmund’s second goal in Sunday’s Bundesliga match at Paderborn.
It was Sancho’s first start since the Bundesliga resumed. The England International tucked in from Julian Brandt’s cross in the 57th minute, after Thorgan Hazard had given Dortmund the lead.
In celebrating the goal, Sancho took off his Dortmund top to reveal a t-shirt featuring the name of a man who died in police custody in the United States last week, prompting demonstrations in the country.
However, Sancho was booked for removing his Dortmund top.
Sancho went on to score a hat-trick in the 6-1 win at Benteler Arena. It was his first hat-trick in his football career.

He posted on Instagram after the match: ’’Delighted to get my first career hat trick, a bittersweet moment personally as there are more important things going on in the world today that we must address and help make a change.”
The 20-year-old’s gesture came on the same day that Gladbach’s Marcus Thuram took a knee to mark his goal against Union Berlin.
Monchengladbach’s head coach Marco Rose said the 22-year-old had set a good example against racism.
