Salman Rushdie attempted murder case. Hadi Matar, 24, was accused for alleged attempted murder of Salman Rushdie on Friday.
Salman Rushdie was airlifted to hospital where he underwent surgery. Also an author, is currently showing signs of improvement.
Matar was arraigned in court where he pleaded not guilty of the attempted murder of author Salman Rushdie. Prosecutors claimed that Rushdie had been stabbed up to 10 times.
Salman Rushdie’s agent, Andrew Wylie, said the author was on a ventilator due to stabbing injuries he had sustained and was in danger one eye going blind. Rushdie also was not able to talk.
But he updated New York Times that the condition of Rushdie is improving and is able to talk again.

Earlier, the Iran’s first supreme leader Ayatollah Ruhollah had ordered his killing in 1989 for writing “The Satanic Verses”.
This book seems to have enraged the Islamists. When the news of his stabbing filled the air, it received an applause from Islamists.
Joe Biden, United States President, condemned the attack and offered prayers for his quick recovery. “Salman Rushdie – with his insight into humanity, with his unmatched sense for story, with his refusal to be intimidated or silenced – stands for essential, universal ideals. Truth. Courage. Resilience,” Biden said.
Matar has now been charged of second-degree attempted murder and assault with a weapon. information of his background information is not yet made public.
