A Russian army general has died in hospital after his men ran over him using a tank and caused fatal injuries to his legs. 

 

 

Deborah Haynes of Sky News named the commander as Colonel Yuri Medvedev. He was in charge of  37 Motor Rifle Brigade. 

 

 

The reported named her source as western  official, she was told that the colonel was turned upon by his disgruntled men as a reaction against heavy losses the troops suffered in Ukraine. 

 

 

On Wednesday March 23, video was released showing the colonel being rushed to the hospital with serious wounds to his legs.
