Tokyo Metropolitan Government has commissioned two robots to serve patients quarantined in local hotels including Apa Hotel and resort. This is one of the 5 hotels in Tokyo City where Covid-19 patients will be housed.
The robots developed by Softbank Group Corp. are expected to cheer up the otherwise lonely patients.

The city decide to house those with mild symptoms in hotels in order to free up hospital beds for the more serious patients.
The robots were unveiled on 1 May, 2020. So far 14,281 positive cases have been confirmed in Japan and 432 deaths.
