The family of Robert Mugabe has said that his bitter spirit is fighting right from the grave. This is after a Chief died and those who pushed for the exhumation of Robert Mugabe are unwell.
Robert Mugabe, the former President of Zimbabwe died in September 2019 and he was buried at his rural home in Kutama, Zvimba. This was Mugabe’s will according to the family.
A face-off occurred with a group of chiefs who opposed the decision. Chief Zvimba had ordered Grace Mugabe (widow) to make sure that Robert Mugabe’s remains were exhumed and reburied in the capital city Harare.
Chief Beperere died of Covid-19. He is said to have supported Chief Zvimba’s decision. The family now has said that the two were victims of Mugabes’s vengeful spirit.
Chief Beperere’s son Edward who was the spokesman of the zvimba chief when they met President Emmerson Mnangagwa in September 2020 is also sick from undisclosed disease.
One of Edward’s sons is also sick. Chief Chidziva and Zvimba are also bed-ridden.
Dominic Matibiri, a member of Robert Mugabe family, said that the former President’s spirit is “settling issues with the living.”
Matibiri said;
“The spirit of the departed has a way of settling issues with the living.
“As Robert Mugabe family, we will not mourn Chief Beperere with others because we feel that he was being punished by the avenging spirit for taking part in the exhumation judgement.”
