Professor Fred McChesyney was a leader in applied economics in studying of law.
He was the chair of economics and law department at University of Miami’s School of Law.
He commenced his career at the Bureau of Consumer Protection based at the Federal Trade Commission.
He earned a law degree from the University of Miami in 1978 and a PhD in Economics from the University of Virginia.
He has written a lot on economics, business and anti-trust. Before joining academia, Fred had practiced law for many years.
In 1975, Fred started exploring the links between economics and law. His main topics of interest includes: antitrust, business transactions and corporate finance.
