Mitch McConnell, 81, the Republican Senator, froze in the middle of his speech will addressing journalists at the US Capitol.
He was led away but later returned and answered quested fielded by the press. When asked what happened, he said, “I am fine”.
Mitch McConnell is the Senate Minority Leader. In March, he suffered a concussion when he fell at an hotel in Washington DC.
The Senator has had some encounters with various ailments. First, he had polio when he was young. Whatever happened when he froze might have been transient ischemic attack – a mini stroke. He also may have had absence seize which is a staring spell for a few seconds.
Mitch has been a senator since 1985.
