US Rep Sara Jacobs is freezing her eggs in her first year in office.
Freezing eggs has become popular in recent years.
Doctors will harvest her eggs while she is under sedation.
It is an expensive process which can cost you anything between $10,000 to $20,000 for a single round of treatment which does not always produce enough eggs.
Later women pay for vitro fertilization (IVF) which can also cost between $10,000 to $15,000.
More and more women are starting to turn to the process for delaying having children.
