Real Sociedad midfielder David Silva has tested positive for Covid-19, the club has confirmed.
The 34-year-old joined Sociedad this month after his contract at Manchester City expired.
The former Spain international is asymptomatic and self-isolating.
“Sociedad informs that @21LVA has tested positive for COVID-19 in the test carried out at Policlínica Gipuzkoa,”the club tweeted.
“The player is asymptomatic and is self-isolating.”

Silva had earlier been unveiled by Sociedad and the former Valencia star said at the press conference he was targeting more silverware after returning to La Liga.
