Luca Romero became the youngest player to ever feature in a La Liga match after coming on as a substitute for Real Mallorca against Real Madrid.

Romero, aged 15 years and 219 days, came off the bench in the 83rd minute to replace Iddrisu Baba in the 2-0 defeat at the Spanish capital.

The teenager broke the record previously held by Francisco Bao Rodriguez, known as Sanson, who made his debut for Celta Vigo at the age of 15 years and 255 days in 1939.

Goals from Vinicius Jr and Captain Sergio Ramos secured a win for Madrid.

Romero had a day to remember. He made two touches on the ball, winning one foul and completing the only pass he attempted.
