French champions Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that three more players tested positive for coronavirus.
Thursday’s news means 6 players have tested positive for the virus in the last two rounds of testing.
A statement published on the club’s website read: ”The latest tests for PCR SarsCoV2 carried out on the Paris Saint-Germain first team confirmed three new positive cases.
”The players are following the appropriate health measures.”
The news will likely see PSG’s match at Lens, scheduled for September 10, rearranged to a later date.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were crowned Ligue 1 champions in April on points-per-game basis following the coronavirus pandemic.
They went on to win Cope de la Ligue and Coupe de France but lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
