Today, Sato 24 March, 2018 I spent sometime on the Road with my motorbike ‘Elizabeth’ in order to get used to her and the terrains around Kawangware ware. This was the second trip with her.
The first time I would not comfortably cross the Road at junctions.
My biggest fear was having her switch off at the middle of the Road while I am crossing.
No thing dangerous happened just the fear due to lack of experience.
This will soon enter into the annals of history. I’m fast becoming an expert.
I’d love to be a Masters and not a servant to Elizabeth. I look forward towards touring Eastern Africa on her back.
Back to today’s adventures.
I rode to the renown Kawangware at noon. I carried my friend along in order to gain confidence. The experience was smoother than expected.
I joined Naivasha Road like an experienced rider. Confidence is all that is required.
I still have a challenges because the bike switches off at times but not as regular as when I started the training routine.
At BP – now Shell petroleum station, I fueled the bike. I would not help the helplessness that I experienced on realizing that fuel prices have real rose up in recent times. At Ksh. 107 per litre of petroleum you feel the pinch.
The return trip was smoother and enjoyable. I crushed along Kikuyu Road like a captain steering the titanic.
I look forward to enjoying my trips on Elizabeth.
