Wayne Rooney is the toughest opponent that former Arsenal and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has faced in his career.
‘’Wayne Rooney,” Cech told Chelsea’s official website.
“Every time we played against United I had to make sure I was aware every time he had the ball because he was very unpredictable and very clever. He is a guy who can chase, who can fight, who can run, who is clever with his shot.
“He could score from the halfway line, he could try and chip you if you were too high. That was a challenge I enjoyed.”
Cech is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League history. He holds the record of the goalkeeper with the most Premier League clean sheets.
Cech won 4 Premier League titles and a Champions League with Chelsea since his move from French side Rennes in 2004. He left the Blues and signed for Arsenal in 2015 and became a key player at the North London side before hanging his boots last year.
