Winger Pedro Rodriguez has completed his move to Serie A side Roma, signing a three-year contract.
The 33-year-old, who won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euro with Spain, spent five seasons with Chelsea.
The former Barcelona star won the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League during his time at Stamford Bridge and becomes AS Roma’s first signing ahead of the new Serie A campaign.
‘’I am delighted to be here at Roma,” Pedro said. “I’m excited for this challenge and to compete to achieve our targets over the coming seasons.
“I want to thank the fans for the welcome they’ve given me. I hope to make them happy.”
‘’It’s a privilege for us to be able to welcome a player of Pedro’s quality to the Roma family,” said Roma CEO Guido Fienga.
“The hope we have, for both him and for us, is that he can continue to add to his extraordinary list of achievements with AS Roma.”
The new Serie A season is scheduled to get underway on September 19.
