Biography of Paul Kagame
Paul Kagame was born on 23rd October, 1957. He has been president of Rwanda since 2000.
He commanded the rebel force that ended the Rwanda Genocide in 1994.
Kagame spent his childhood in Uganda where his family was living in exile.
Kagame joined the Rwanda Patriotic Front which invaded Rwanda in 1990.
Kagame sponsored two rebel-wars in Congo which led to the overthrow of dictator Mobutu Seseko and Laurent Kabila ascended to power.
