The French Professional Football League (LFP) has announced that Ligue 1 2020-21 season will start on the weekend of August 22-23.
The season is set to conclude on May 23 next year.
The 2019-20 campaign was ended prematurely in April due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
PSG were awarded the Ligue 1 title based on points-per-game basis.
An LFP vote saw Amiens and Toulouse relegated with Lorient and Lens promoted to Ligue 1. A French court had earlier suspended the relegation from Ligue 1.
Lorient will start their Ligue 1 season at home against Strasbourg while Lens will kick start the season at Nice.
Champions PSG will start their Ligue 1 title defence at home against Metz.
