Olympique Marseille beat Nice

French Ligue 1 continued yesterday night with Nice playing Olympique Marseille at Allianz Rivera. The game attracted over 31,000 fans. Olympique Marseille won the game 2-1.

Marseille’s Dario Benedetto opened the scoring in the 31^st minute. Marseille headed into halftime 1-0 up. Nice equalized in the 66^th minute via a penalty and Wylan Cyprien scored from the spot.

Dimitri Payet scored a penalty in the 73^rd minute to secure victory for the Olympians.

Homophobic banners were displayed during the game. 

Centre Referee Clement Turpin stopped the game for some minutes for the banner to be removed.
