Festus Keyamo, the Nigerian Minister of State for Labour and Employment, was criticized for distributing wheelbarrows and cutlasses as a means of empowerment. He has responded to that criticism.
Over the weekend, Festus Keyamo was in Delta state to kick off the launch of the Special Public Works Programme.

Nigerian Twitter users indicated that the government should have distributed modern machines that can still do the jobs the cutlasses and wheelbarrows and do.
